If you get a bad battery from Amzer, good luck on getting a replacement. Off-shore customer service that does not understand what a warranty policy is. No returns, and now $50 battery that lasts half as long as the original. Buy from a company that honors a warranty… otherwise be prepared to eat the loss.

Good little battery. Wife is a DC tour guide and was concerned about Pre battery life, so we got one of these for both of us. She carries a backup battery, but with this installed has not had to use it. Works great with Touchstone, and doesn’t make the phone any bigger.

This battery does last longer than the stock, but just by a little. This may seem like a stupid point to make, but the harder you use your phone, the less of a difference in battery life you’ll notice. The battery does fit fine within the phone. No jiggles or loose ends. There’s basically no other difference compared to stock other than the slightly longer life. I just wish somebody made a battery for the pre that was around 2000 mAh and doesn’t bulk up the phone as much as the 2600 mAh.

This phone is fantastic. The plans are significantly more affordable than ATT and apps are mainly free with the ability to obtain open-source development apps. Functionality of Pre blows that away of the iphone, however, with the added functionality comes a desire for reasonable battery life. The standard battery simply will not do! Luckily, the Palm folks, unlike Apple, have allowed you the opportunity to upgrade your battery yourself, in about 10 seconds. With the standard battery, I had to charge the thing at every available opportunity – the car, the computer USB at work, and at night. I simply could not make it a full day without a charge. Not to mention the FREE navi on the phone, though quite good, drains the battery FAST! This AMZER battery allows me to go over a full day now with moderate use. It is essential, if you are ok with the standard size body. If you don’t mind going bigger, get a larger one with a new backing, but in my mind, smaller more convenient phones are better for me. Oh did I mention it has a smaller standard size than iphone?

I bought 2 of these batteries, one for me, one for my wife.

I am not certain they are providing any more life than the standard battery.

    Procedure:

    – Charged both batteries to full.

    – Discharged both batteries until the phone shut off.

    – Repeat 2 more times for each battery.

To be fair, I did not have the phone that long before swapping the standard battery with this one. However my wife had her phone 2 months with the standard and she cannot tell the difference.
