This is a Chinese knock off of the canon grip. It’s well made and fits tightly on the T2i. The grip is shorter than those for the 7d and 50d. My pinky finger is on an uncomfortable bump. Needs to be a bit longer for my hands. Small hands may fit better but I have fairly large “man” hands. Functionally, it seems to be a 5…..and a lot cheaper than the canon grip $45 to $169….Overall, a nice purchase.

As others have mentioned, the grip seems solidly constructed and mates perfectly with the T2i.

I bought this just before going on a Mediterranean cruise. I’ve owned 3 Canon DSLRs, but I’ve never owned a battery grip before. My primary reason for purchasing this grip was to allow me to take more shots before changing batteries. And, I couldn’t be more pleased — over 1200 shots before I had to replace the batteries! I also appreciate the security of being able to power my camera from AA batteries if necessary. On a trip to Alaska last year, I forgot to pack my battery charger. After 400 shots, my Rebel XTi was just a paperweight until I found a store to buy another charger…no easy feat in Alaska!

I’m a guy with average size hands and was already used to the feel of my old Canon XTi. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the feel of the grip on the camera. I’ve gotta say, I was very pleasantly surprised. The grip actually makes the camera easier for me to handle. And, since I often keep a speedlite attached, the added weight makes a great counterbalance.

    It’s a winner. I’m hooked!

Simply put this thing work as promised. I don’t recommend anyone to buy the $150 canon version as that is a complete waste of money. I would bet that is one is built by the same company that builds the “Canon” version. You can get this at a fraction of the price. The build quality is very very good. It fits perfectly and the battery trays (one for the oem batteries and one for 6 batteries) slide right in nice and secure. Its super simple to use and I love having the extra trigger button. I can’t imagine using my Canon 550D T2i without it. I highly recommend this!

This is a great alternative to the canon battery grip! It works perfectly, looks great, and costs far less than the competition. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was fitting correctly, but with some patience I found out that this thing is the bomb. Buy it!

Excellent fit and exact color and style that matches the camera body. Sturdy and well made. My T2i needed this grip since I have a large hand. I like the fact that I can switch out between two proprietary batteries or six AA batteries.
