    I’m not sophisticated enough to be able to tell if this is an OEM battery or not — but I doubt it. The life of this ‘brand new’ battery is 50% of the original ten month old battery that came with the Bold. Yes, I’ve followed instructions and let the battery fully discharge three times. Amazon should check with their supplier; this is an inferior product.

    short life, but then the battery on the Bold is not very long lasting. I would say average for the life of the battery.

    The picture shows an oem battery and the description implies that it’s an oem battery. The battery received is some unknown third party of dubious quality. My original battery lasted for almost a week when I first got it. This one barely lasts a full day on one charge. I will be contacting amazon about the false description and picture.

    I ordered this item based on the picture which showed an original Blackberry battery. Instead, I received a battery with no manufacturer named and simply labeled “M-S1 Compatible with BB 9000 & BB 9700 Bold” (made in China). I’ll report to Amazon and see if they force the seller to change the picture.
