I bought these for a halogen flashlight. Now I always have two spare batteries charged up and I never have to buy those expensive batteries again. The fact that it comes with a car charger, makes it even better. Perfect for camping/roadtrips!!

I never know what I’m going to get with this kit. I use my flashlights primarily for the ‘strobe’ function on my bike. I get about a half-hour to an hour with this usage. I’m halfway through my ride and I’m swapping batteries. A nice little ‘kit’ but worthless to me.

After just two cycles of the batteries, they stopped working in my tactical flashlight. I measured the voltage and found them to be almost 4.2 volts fully charged (when it is supposed to be 3.0!!!). I don’t know if this can damage a voltage regulated light, but I’m not willing to take the chance (they don’t work in two separate types of flashlights I have anyway because they immediately shut off when turned on with these batteries now). I’m returning these and buying some surefire non-rechargeable batteries. What good is a tactical flashlight if at the exact moment you need it to work, the batteries fail? And if you aren’t using it for tactical purposes, then why get a light with CR123A batteries in the first place?

Even when this charger WAS working (only on the first cycle), it got way too hot for comfort while charging and took way longer than it says. Also, the light turns halfway to green but stays halfway red, and doesn’t charge both batteries evenly.

I bought these one month ago and was skeptical because of the reviews. I immediately put a pair in my Fenix PD30 while the other pair charged. When that set was charged up, I swapped them. the charging light goes from red, to a kind of orange-ish yellow, then green when finished. I carry my light with me all of the time and use it constantly for short periods of time and I have not had to re-charge the first pair yet. Considering that CR123 batteries at regular stores cost about 4+ dollars a piece, and if you order online you need to order at least 2 dozen to make them a good deal ($1/piece) because of shipping, this rechargeable set was the way to go. I promise I use my light more than most people, but I do not use it for long runtimes—such as if you were hiking at night or camping. This set is mostly geared towards saving money for everyday use. If I were taking a long camping trip, I would probably have some regular CR123′s in the pack. I do plan to get some regular CR123 for emergencies such as extended power outages. Oh, the car charger is also nice for trips, camping, or if you needed a charge while your home elect. was out. for everyday use around the house, car repairs, walking the dog, and everyday carry (EDC) I highly recommend you try these—-even if they fail after 3 charges, you’ve only spent the same amount as 3 sets at your local store.

These typically last me about 4hrs of constant use (6v in series) before I have to recharge them. I’ve used and recharged them for 4-5 months with no significant signs of degrading. I will continue to buy them.
