    Purchased for Samsung SC-HMX10 and when inserted into camera, gives error code “Check Authenticity of Battery”. cannot return since it has been open and “used”. Very dissatisfied.

    My samsung battery that came with my camcorder stopped working after about 6 months. It ballooned and made removable increadily difficult. This battery by Deracell appears to be indentical in construction (even color). It’s worked flawlessly since installation.

    When I purchased this battery I thought I was going to get a Duracell branded battery, that was “(Black)”. It was neither. It is branded Hi-Capacity with a little lightning bolt on a grey battery. It charged fully in my camera. It seems to have a slightly lower capacity at only 700mAh. A fine product, but slightly misleading on the product page.

    I got this as an extra battery for my digital camcorder. The Samsung SC-MX20 Flash Memory Camcorder w/34x Optical Zoom (Black). It’s a great spare battery that’s equivalent to the standard battery that came with camcorder. I also purchased an external charger along with the battery so I can have them both charging simultaneously. (This is the charger that I purchased with it by the way Compact Battery Charger Set for Samsung IA-BP85ST) The battery hasn’t given me any problems as of yet, so I’m satisfied with it’s performance and value.
