Great rechargeable battery! I can’t keep them supplied in my house. They keep finding more uses in all of our devices. Having a pair on hand is handy and it’s nice they keep their charge for so long.

I do tend to label my pairs as I get them so I can keep track on how old they are.

I bought these along with a two pack/travel charger unit for my digital camera. Other users have given extensive time/testing to see how well they hold up. In fact, it was the outstanding reviews these got on Amazon that convinced me to buy some for myself. I’ll confine myself, then, to my own impressions.

The batteries worked right out of the package, and got me through 5-6 4GB memory cards, including a full hour of continuous video on my Canon PowerShot 110X before needing to be swapped out for a fresh pair. Two short hours in the charger and they were ready to go again. So far I’ve used these in digital cameras, small flashlights and a few power hungry toys. At this (admittedly early) stage, they have certainly lived up to their reputation, and I have no trouble believing they’ll take more over the 1,000 cycle line down the road.

Eneloop batteries are my favorite AA and AAA rechargeable batteries, but there are newer ones out now!

    The newer Eneloops:

    * Have 1500 charge cycles (instead of 1000)

    * Retain 85% capacity after one year, 80% after two, and 75% capacity after three years

    * Are better in cold temperatures… now rated for down to -20°C instead of -10°C.

    * Are pre-charged with solar energy (instead of regular energy) in Japan

    * AA: Have minimum 1900 mAh (same as old ones)

    * AAA: Have minimum 750 mAh (same as old ones)

    * Are MADE IN JAPAN (same as old ones)

These are great batteries. Use them all the time and they perform better than alkalines I have used. Would highly recommend!

These batteries do indeed keep their charge for months and months. Highly recommended. Another nice thing: Out of 24 eneloop AA batteries I have purchased, they all work. There are no defective batteries in the bunch. So for reliability and for a quality product, I highly recommend Eneloops as the ones that are to be trusted. Especially important when you are dependent on a battery to work when it is needed.
