    This battery is the one that should have come stock with the Pre. Definite improvement in useable time without adding bulk to the form factor.

    This 1350 mAh battery has the same size as the original palm Battery, wich has “only” 1150 mAh. So it gives 17% more juice. It improves lifetime, but not dramaticaly.

    Helps to come nearer to the goal of an entire day without loading.

    I read the reviews about how they fixed the shut off issue so went ahead and purchased. This battery worked fine at first, it didn’t shut my phone off when I would slide it closed. I say it worked fine, but it was really no better than OEM at being extended life. After about a month of use, I rotated the OEM battery back in for a month or so, then rotated this extended life battery back in and guess what??? It shorts my phone out when you slide it closed, unless you are so careful that you move the slider at a ridiculously slow rate. Don’t bother paying the extra money for this thing, just buy another OEM battery. It’s really about the same life, except it doesn’t short out your phone every time you close it. Glad I paid extra for that “bonus” feature…

    I ordered the Seidio Innocell Extended Life Battery because the OEM battery in my Pre was not lasting long enough. As soon as I installed the new battery I noticed significantly better battery life. Much more than the 17% that it should improve based on the capacity increase. I had a feeling that my OEM battery was nearing the end of it’s useful life anyway. I’ve had it for about 7 months and the performance was steadily decreasing. Therefor I cannot attribute all of the performance increase to the capacity increase of the battery, but having said that, this battery works great and easily lasts me through an entire day unless I’, really using my Pre a LOT. The other day I was using it for navigation as well as streaming a podcast and that ran it down within a few hours, but that was: screen on, 100% data connection and two CPU hungry apps running simultaneously and it still lasted several hours – and all this occurred in the afternoon after a normal day. Overall I’m very satisfied with this purchase. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is simply because I cannot verify the capacity against a new OEM battery.

    Unfortunately this is the only ‘extended’ battery currently available in stock size (i.e. doesn’t require a bulkier battery cover.) According to Battery Monitor (fantastic Pre app btw), the battery life (and drain rate) are actually worse than with the OEM stock battery (in an ‘apples to apples’ comparison of running apps, usage, etc.)

    I’d recommend purchasing an extra OEM stock battery until a better ‘extended’ battery option is available.
